Aaron DeNu holds a position in communication and technology management at The George Washington University in Washington, D.C., where he supervises the development and implementation of communication, marketing, and new media strategies for students, alumni and their employers/contractors. He moved to Foggy Bottom in 2007 upon completing his Master of Arts degree coursework on the effects of technology on human interaction at Fordham University in New York City.
A steadfast U.S. National Team and Major League Soccer supporter, Aaron was a principal organizer of Washington, D.C.’s unprecedented large-scale World Cup Fan Festival "Soccer in the Circle 2010" at Dupont Circle National Park. Soccer in the Circle (501(c)(3) charitable status) attracted national media attention in the Washington Post and live international coverage from CNN, the BBC, and ABC.
In August 2010, Aaron was recognized by the Washington, D.C. Advisory Neighborhood Commission for "Outstanding work in building a better community." In May 2011, he was recognized by The George Washington University Center for Civic Engagement and Public Service for "Staff Excellence in Exemplary Service to the Community."
